Inclement Weather Forces Changes in WSSU Baseball, Softball

Rams, Lady Rams weekend games rescheduled due to the threat if inclement weather

WINSTON-SALEM, NC – The Winston-Salem State Rams baseball and Lady Rams softball teams will have to wait for this weekend’s action as both teams had games postponed due
to the threat of inclement weather. With heavy rains pelting the southern east coast, a number athletic events have been rescheduled.

The Rams, who were scheduled to take on the Armstrong State Pirates in a Friday doubleheader, will instead take on the Pirates on Saturday. The two games will play a Saturday  doubleheader before closing out the weekend series with a Sunday single game at noon.

The Lady Rams were scheduled to open the 2011 season at the UNC-Pembroke Softball Invitational. The tournament, which was scheduled to open on Friday, will instead be played on  Sunday and Monday. The Lady Rams will complete all of their tournament play on Sunday when the team plays both of its games on Sunday. The Lady Rams will take on California (Pa.) in a Sunday 10:00 a.m. game and will take on Kutztown in a 1:00 p.m. game.
