Fifty years after four North Carolina Agricultural & Technical State University freshmen in 1960 sat down at a Woolworth lunch counter projecting Greensboro, NC onto the national and international stage with the beginning of what became known as the sit-in movement, Greensboro business organizations with ties to UNC-Greensboro (UNC-G) working through the Board of Governors (BOG), UNC-General Administration (UNC-A) , and NC General Assembly maybe be repackaging Jim Crow for the 21st Century as economic development and jobs enslaving historical black North Carolina A&T at Gateway Research Park with the Joint School of Nanoscience and Nanoengineering (JSNN) serving private interest at public’s expense. |
